Hi Camilla,

Our shoes have a lot of padding built in already. You could customize a wider shoe. Send me an email with your size and width.

I have a very high arch and need lots of padding in the ball of the foot. I also have a regular heel width but am wide through the ball of the foot/toe area. Could you make a shoe for me? I like the Aega but am willing to try another design if it will permit me to dance. Thanks.

Hello Maria,
In answer to your questions:

1.You may view photos of our heels here:
http://www.spiredance.com/custom-shoes/heels/
2. We usually don't make extra wide but this could be done. Do you have a measurement? Our wide is probably the equivilent of an E wide which in U.S. sizes is a step above D.
3. The shoe can come in any color or material that you would like.

Hope this helps.

Hello

i have three questions:

1) can i see a picture of the 2.25 inch hill which is "wide" versus "flare."

2) can you make EXTRA WIDE shoes and how much wider would that be compared to the "wide"?

3) does this shoe come in one-tone black?

thanks

I wore the Smooth style ballroom shoe (SLS-60) yesterday right out of the box, no stretching, no anything and they were perfect for my injured foot. The strappy Latin (SLL-11) was a little tight so I am stretching them. The higher heeled Latin (SLL-20) seemed fine but I haven't danced in them. They are all nice quality as well, without having to pay SupaDance and International prices.

Hi MJ

All of the shoes you have asked about as I am sure you are aware are for standard dance. The components of the shoes are not too different from each other. They all feature extra comfort padding so they are extremely comfortable right out of the box. In addition Theseus and Hermes have metatarsal shanks which help support the arch. Cronos is a split-sole as you can see from the pictures. Some dancers like the split sole for the extra flexibility but you do give up some support. You may customize the material and width of the shoe. As far as narrow heels go the fit of the shoe would probably depend on the width of the front of your foot. You don't want to order a narrow size which fits your heel but is to tight in the front. Around 90% of our dancers find that when they order our shoes in the size of the their street shoes the shoes fit pretty well. We use U.S sizing for all of our shoes. Are you in the NY area? We can schedule a fitting at a local studio if you want.

Hope this answers your questions. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Can you please tell me the difference in structure, design, fit between the three mens' custom standard shoes? (Hermes, Cronos, and The...something)

Which is best for a narrow heel?
High instep?
Cushioning?
Arch support and/or ability to insert?

Thanks.

Spire Dance was very helpful and patient working with me to order shoes. Their shoes are carefully crafted to fit well and are very comfortable. I would definitely recommend them for their service and product!

I recently bought the ladies' standard shoes. They are the most comfortable ballroom shoes that I have tried on. Compared to other brands, Spire shoes have much better arch support and padding on the entire sole of the shoe. These shoes have a rounder toe than most others, which I personally look for in a ballroom shoe to keep my toes happy. The overall construction of the shoe is great and the only minor problem is that the inside edge of the shoe gaps away from my narrow foot - something that probably depends highly on the shape of each person's individual foot. In addition to making fantastic shoes, the service is exceptional; They respond quickly to questions and care about the customer's satisfaction with their purchase.
